I really can’t thank you all enough for the kind words! It’s funny how much the blog world has shifted the last year, and I spend so much more time talking with you all on Instagram these days. I love that the reveal brought conversations out of the woodwork…it’s nice to know that people are still coming here for inspiration and to get some more meaty content than what social media can provide. I so appreciate the comments! Today I thought it would be fun to show you a few takeaways from the ORC’s featured and guest design reveals. I haven’t had the chance to really dive into every single one yet but wanted to share some things that really caught my eye. Would love to hear some of your favorite moments too!
The color of the walls and the floor really got me excited in this office by The House That Lars Built. The power of paint is vast and can be budget friendly!
Angela from The Painted House is so inspiring with her fearless sense of style, and her basement makeover had me oohing and ahhing at every turn!
Meg Pflug’s record shelves and rustic table are simply beautiful.
I loved the sconces Brittany used and her bathroom turned out so charming!
Are you watching Old Home Love’s show on Facebook? You should be! The color of their kitchen cabinets is a total dream!
Jenny is the OG of good DIY and this dresser she created for her master bedroom reveal is another example of exceptional design.
Jill always delivers the best color and drama, and her office/bedroom is no exception.
Dabito’s use of color is playful but sophisticated every time!
Erica took her 750 square foot home from boho to California chic with a skinny makeover full of pieces I am definitely coveting. Her idea for a kitchen island is genius!
Nicole uses color and quirk in a way I completely admire, but this time around the wallpaper was the star!
Now to a few guest participants who caught my eye!
This office makeover is really nice, but what really got my attention? Ashley painted that mural on the wall by hand! I mean, what talent!
Tim is so good at the mix and I love the glam touches in here!
Proof that adding trim can take your room up several notches…
Norma may not have finished, but her space is the PERFECT example of how to add character and make your home look timeless!
Natasha has the best style, and I had to share two views of this chair because the art is soo good. Her mom made the George Washington piece! Don’t miss the bookshelves and all of the other gorgeous details in this space!
Also, I wanted to share my latest video with you! It’s so hard to believe that Thanksgiving is next week. After planning, prepping, cooking, and cleaning, sometimes there isn’t much energy left for what decorates your table during the holidays. I’m back with another video in partnership with Hallmark Gold Crown stores to show you how to put together a tablescape that is both simple and inexpensive. Natural elements are timeless and elegant and something you can pick up at the grocery store or clip out of your own backyard. I’m also showing you how to update a more traditional dining room with on trend pieces. I hope you’ll watch and tell me what you think!
