Last week was filled with celebration for Milly. While she turned four on Tuesday, we didn’t have her party until Saturday. Somehow she managed to get a lot of special occasions packed into those days in-between. From swimming and cookie cake with cousins to manis and pedis with mama, special balloons from daddy to ear piercing and shopping with her ma…this little girl was spoiled.
I kept to my word and didn’t go crazy this time around, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t have some really fun treats. I ended up making a few different popsicles: watermelon, strawberry/watermelon (minus the mint), and bagging them in clear treat bags. My friend told me about these adorable ring pop molds. A simple can of frozen pink lemonade made them quite the hit. On top of the pops I couldn’t help but grab some of my favorite cupcakes from a local bakery. From scratch cupcakes can’t be beat, and if you want to save a bit bakeries will usually charge less for basic flavors think chocolate, vanilla or wedding cake. Then you can add some easy embellishments to make them a bit more festive – I picked up the honeycomb toothpicks from Michaels.
The get-together was simple and small, but lots of fun. Milly requested a girls-only afternoon, so that’s what she got. The sign on the back gate made sure of that…

How fun! Milly and her cousin are absolutely adorable and so so lucky to have each other! Everything looks scrumptious and I’m not even going to mention you teasing us with the kitchen picture…when are we going to see it in all its glory? :):)

This is so sweet and simple! What babes! Wished my girls had a summer birthday. Can you please tell me where your white cake stand is from, and what dimensions? =]

Thanks, Brenda! It was a Homegoods find, and it’s definitely smaller than a normal stand. Maybe 7 or 8″? Sorry I can’t be more help, but if you have a Homegoods near by they seem to have different white cakestands quite regularly!
