We’ve been working really hard through the heat of the summer to start cleaning up Three Pastures. I want to enjoy the land at every stage, it’s part of why my first purchase for our new acreage was a vintage table and chairs. So, while most of our trips out there are to work right now, I think it’s important to set up some time and opportunity to play and relax too.
I shop at Walmart almost weekly, and I am often finding cute decor and clothes in the aisles I stroll between the body wash and the bread I’m there to pick up. Walmart Home has an even wider selection of products, and with free shipping on $35 or more purchased (most with 2 day delivery) and easy returns in store, you can’t go wrong. I’ve been planning our next steps for the land from home, so I thought it would be fun to pack up some dessert and head out to Three Pastures to dream.
To compliment the vintage table and chairs I went with a citrus theme. I picked up a little cake from Walmart to place on this pretty stand and removed the decorative frosting on top to add flowers from our cutting garden at home and some growing right in the pasture. Those sweet, etched glass bud vases got some too. The blue and white napkins really compliment the yellow. Fresh lemonade on a hot summer night can’t be beat – especially served in cute glasses. I love that the flatware comes in a little caddy – perfect for on-the-go entertaining like this. The checkered comforter layered with a striped table topper and cozy pillows make the perfect spot to sprawl out with inspirational books and notepads for drawing and scheming while we watched the fireflies make their entrance into the night.

I’ve been using Walmart since the pandemic am really impressed with the quality and service. I’m going to order that dress and those glasses in turquoise. Their every day wear has been a blessing during this stay at home time. We built a home on acreage when our children were small. Looking back all the pieces were special including/especially the planning, building, working process. There were struggles like poison Ivey and chain saw mishaps, leaking chimneys and SO many bugs but all sweet to the soul in the long run. I would do my Saturday morning stuff then pack lunch and grab the kids to head out to where my husband was already working and we’d eat and wash up in the pond. Enjoy these moments.

Is the dress a one size fits all?

It is not! It actually runs rather large. I wore an XS and it was a little big. It was so perfect for the setting.
